The focus of this year’s conference for sustainable building is on building on existing structures. “Sustainable planning begins with an assessment in which the existing building stock plays a central role. (…) Due to the scarcity of resources, climate change and the loss of architectural identity, the topics of renovation, expansion and conversion – i.e. building with existing structures – are receiving increasing attention.
