The book “The Noise Landscape” is published in September 2017 by nai010 publishers. The publication extensively documents the noise-affected surroundings of eight large European airports: Amsterdam Schiphol, London Heathrow, Madrid Barajas, Frankurt, Munich, Zurich, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly. In providing the first account of how aircraft noise affects spatial conditions, the book also conceptualizes the emerging urbanity of these landscapes. More information about the book is available on the book website and the website of the publisher, where it can also be bought for a special pre-sales price.
On September 26, 2017 at 6pm, a book launch will take place at HIL H 40.4 (NSL Plaza), ETH Zurich Hoenggerberg. The book will be presented by the authors (Benedikt Boucsein, Kees Christiaanse, Eirini Kasioumi and Christian Salewski). After the discussion, an Apéro will be provided on the roof terrace.
